The importance of PH in our crop

The PH indicates the acidity or alkalinity of the water in mixtures with different crop products.

It is measured from 0 to 14, being 0 the total acidity and 14 the maximum alkalinity.

Some of the most commonly used products in cannabis culture, whether nutrients or preventive-curative and some waters, cause the pH to vary.

Generally, the products that are added make the pH rise, therefore the most convenient in these cases is to check the state of the pH once the mixture is made and regulate it if necessary, if possible with organic products. Example: Alkaprot

In the case of substrate or coco crops, the PH should be between 5.5 and 6.5 or even 7.

In hydroponics, we will reduce the margin to 5.5 and 5.8.

As we get closer to values of 6, the nutrients will dissolve more easily, helping the plant to absorb them.

It is very important to control the PH in the crops since a very high PH can give many problems: in the good operation of the plant and in the production.
